My First ThreadCrate Box

I’ve always wanted a subscription box, but had never really bitten the bullet on it. ThreadCrate was appealing because you got a pattern, fabric, notions, a needle, thread, and maybe other miscellaneous extras. Some extra appealing features are that the pdf patterns are actually printed out on big paper, but you also get the pdf digital pattern and that they are very size inclusive. This particular month’s pattern went from size 00 to 30. I also like that you can personalize your fabric color choices between random and color themes. I chose to go with jewel tones as that is most of my wardrobe and my favorite.

This month’s box came with Modal fabric and mine was emerald green. I got 3 yards which is enough to make even the maxi length of the Katharine dress by Sonia Estep that it came with. The pattern is nice because it has sleeve, neckline, and length options all in one. The fun things in the box were an electric seam ripper, pretty tweezers, and a t-shirt with the ThreadCrate logo. It also came with a spool of matching Gutermann thread, a stretch needle, and some pins. I have subscribed to the first three months of the men’s crate and have 3 more months of the women’s crate. We will see how it goes and I’ll put an overall review up in the summer!

Have you been wanting to try ThreadCrate?
